Essay planning

One of the frequent difficulties experienced by students - as well as feedback given to them regarding their exam performance - is writing focussed, well-structured essays.

Having worked with students in schools and universities, I have developed an essay-planning technique that can be tweaked for any essay-writing subject - from English to Economics;  Geography to Business Studies.

In this video clip, I talk you through the essay plan in relation to an English essay question and then to an Economics essay question.

The key thing with this process is that you have to practise it:  there is no point in "saving" it for exam day as it needs to be done as efficiently and time-effectively as possible.  Get in the habit of using this essay planning system for every essay you write and watch your grades keep going up!
